Recently we celebrated my son's birthday! This year he wanted an airplane birthday party, and so I started googling and looking for ideas on Pinterest. I found so many fun ideas. I started by making homemade invitations to look like boarding passes, and I loved the idea of having a Baggage Claim for the favor bags. I thought about making my own cardboard suitcases, but then found these cute little bags at the dollar store (I thought they worked perfect as suitcases.) When I saw the Push Pop airplanes on Pinterest I just knew I had to make them for the party!
We served lunch (an in flight dinner.) It wasn't anything fancy just BBQ. I came across a picture of Blue Jello sky and Cool Whip clouds on Pinterest. I thought it fit perfect for an airplane party, "Up in the sky where the airplanes fly." We served these fun Jello treats with lunch. We called the food table First Class.
I made a simple airplane cake and cupcakes!
For our activity or game we set up a kid's table called the The Cockpit! We let all the kids make and decorate their own airplanes. This was a BIG HIT! The kid's had so much fun making and then flying their planes.
It was a fun birthday party, but it'd make a Fun Family Friday too!
