1,2,3,4, I declare a NERF war!

1,2,3,4, I declare a NERF war!

It was a hot summer day, he'd had a long, taxing day at work. He was feeling tired and was looking forward to unwinding at home. Little did he know he was walking right into an ambush!

At home, the heat was getting to us. The kids wanted to play outside, but the heat made it miserable. They had been cranky and moody all afternoon, so I hatched a plan sure to get us out of our funk. A plan that would both entertain them and promote team work at the same time. A plan that, in my opinion, was fail-proof.

We hit the local Walmart and stocked up on Nerf gear. Guns, darts, the works.

While we were there we stocked up on fun food essentials. (Pizza, lemonade, and chocolate chip cookie dough)

Then, when we got home, we made THE WARNING SIGN!

When he arrived home from work, he laughed! Then promptly armed himself and prepared for battle!

Our war lasted about 20 minutes before we were all laughing too hard to shoot any more!

Best.Family Fun Friday. EVER!!!

DIY:Tooth Fairy Bags

DIY:Tooth Fairy Bags

Yesterday I took my children to the dentist, and we discovered that my oldest (age 6) will be starting to lose teeth soon! They weren't wobbly enough for her or I to notice they were loose, but the Dr. said it wouldn't be long!

So I went home and got straight to work deciding how exactly we wanted to go about the "Tooth Fairy Business." We wanted to be prepared when those teeth fall out, so that the Tooth Fairy knows exactly what to do.

I came across these cute little bags online, and KNEW they were easy enough for me, and my lacking sewing skills to handle. So we loaded up and went to the store for supplies. I let the girls pick out their own colors. (They chose blue and purple.) Then we went home, measured, cut, and hand sewed a couple of these cute little bags together!

Disclaimer: I CAN NOT SEW. And these were easy to make. So if I can do it, anyone can do it! Let the Tooth Fairy Magic Begin!
